While engaging revenants stay leveld as long as you can with them as they have absurd firepower on top/bottom and even the front turret from two of em combined will tear anything under a battlestar apart in a single turn, keep in mind it's front guns can fire down and the side ones can fire up. While the ai uses focus fire it does not seek to position its fleet well for it so either do to the enemy fleet having dispersed some in the chase or if you feel lucky you can try and use the raptors to further occupy one or two fore a bit of time and keep em out of weapon range, i've seen large ships focus fighter squads if they were far enough away but this is highly situational and with almost no control on a squadrons flightpath mines are a lot more usefull in controlling the enemy fleet's movement. Make sure to have your ships in good positions to focus fire the remaining revenants. By the time it gets to the shooty part you've cut them down some. Use guided missles and for the first few turns just kite and either clear the cerastes up or focus one or two revenants. Swap all vipers for assault raptors, use two groups to spot the enemy fleet but with cerastes on the field pull em back for repairs before they hit 40% hull. The celstra's ability to give armor can save a ship in a tight spot. If you can change fleet composition in the 6000 range 3 battlestars is overly unbalanced, even in the 8000 range i prefer 2 battlestars and a strong group of gunboats in the very last mission of the campaign i used 2 battlestars,2adamants and 3 berserks. Use posture wisely, no reason to have a ship on +6 attack if its target is at point blank range, damage mitigation will do you a lot more good then.

Without changing your fleet composition put your fleet furthest away from the cylon ships and run in the beginning. And after the first dead Battlestar theres basically now hope.Īnyone can help me please? This isnt my biggets fleet, I got 8000' fleets already, but in any other situation 5000 col vs 6000 cyl is no problem.

The cerastes' are just flying around for free damage and kill my fighters/raptors. I can destroy 2-3 revenants maybe, but at that point im getting swarmed, and my first artemis is just about to explode. I could try nuke spam, but that feels wasteful and I wonder if theres a more "normal" solution.īut everything I tried is not enough.

I focus my fire, sent 4x viper2 and 2xattack raptor for damage and locks. My strategy usually is to fly my 3 Battlestars at a distance while diving, circling a bit trying to fight as few revenants as possible at once. My enemy is a cylon fleet with 6000 points I dealt with larger fleets without much issue, but this one has 8 ships, of which are at least 5 revenants and then some cerastes or so (no fighters/munitions). I'd wager two artemis and two missile cruisers would be better, but its a difficult either way. The saved battle is two artemis and one minerva. Im at the point where I got two battlestar types, nukes, heavy carriers. While its mostly going smooth, theres one big thing ive always struggled with, and the save is just before my nightmare scenario. So im playing the first campaign with broken alliance, just returned to it after a break.
